Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person, as for the statement of the universal declaration of human rights in the third article. Whereas these violations against University students aren’t new, they used to happen in the past and they are still happening till today. Security forces ignored all laws and conventions and they have even encroached students least right to live safe and secure.
A year ago on the 3rd of January, in a blatant violation against university students, security forces illegally killed 4 students with no crime but “expressing their opinion” that became a worth killing crime. In Fayoum governorate Mahmoud Ali Abdul Aziz, a student in the third year faculty of arts, Fayoum University, was shot directly during security forces trials to strew a demonstration against the current regime. On the same day and in a similar situation in Al Minya governorate Mohammad Abdul Monem Abul Soud, a student in the first year, faculty of Dar El Oloum, Al Minya University, was shot in his stomach that is why he was taken to the hospital where he met his creator.
In Madinet Nasr, Cairo, Due to the excessive use of violence from security forces 2 students were killed that day. The students are Bilal Mahmoud Abdul Kareem, a student in the first year, faculty of languages and translation, German section, Al Azhar University, and Hassan Nasr, a student in the faculty of commerce, Azhar University. Security forces didn’t pay any attention to any laws or conventions state the importance of gradual use of violence and not targeting demonstrators in a killing way.
On the 3rd of January 2015 violations are still ongoing against students. Security forces didn’t stop practicing their suppression under the umbrella of the current regime. Till this momentt they are violating the laws that guarantees everyone’s right to live safe and secured. These laws that became not for use by security forces.
As we play our role in Freedom seekers observatory we observe and follow up carefully any violation happened in the past or happening nowadays against peaceful students all what they done was expressing themselves and they were killed intentionally or detained arbitrarily in reverse and we publish these violations tirelessly.
