In a continuation of a series of violations and irregularities of legal right of Egyptian universities and institutes against the students, intransigence of Faculty of Science Management at the University of Alexandria to send committee exams for “Momen Hamzawy,” 2nd year the student, Faculty of Science, in a deprivation to perform his exams, as the Directorate of Security Management refused to transfer the student to Hadra prison to perform the exams.
The security forces have arrested the student randomly in violation of the law last February, and reported to us that he was tortured in the Security Directorate in what is known in the media as “fourth floor skinning”, in violation of all international conventions and treaties, which came the text of Article (5) of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which stipulates that “No one shall be subjected to torture or to sanctions or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment”.
