8 and a half months ago, exactly on 17th November of that last year. The student Ahmad Sha’aban

Almowafy who is enrolled in the 4th stage of law faculty- Mansoura university while he was walking in

of Almahala city streets. Then, he was hidden forcibly for more than 20 days. After that, he was sent

to get investigated before he was sent to the strictly secured Alaqrab prison. Where, he was tortured

in the discipline ward and kept to pass his improvement duration even when he is sent to the court, he

gets back this ward again. It was mentioned that his trial was delayed on 30/7/2015 by the counselor

Nagi Shehata and he was sent to military judgement.

Another violations happened the student in his cell including enforced disappearance and torture

inside the discipline ward which violates all of the national and Egyptian law and what they included,

especially the fifth article of the International Announcement of Rights and Freedoms which states

that ‘ No human should be exposed to torturing, sanctions, harsh or savage treatments which

degrades his dignity’. About the enforced disappearance of the student, it came as a violation of the

first article from the international convention for protecting all people from the enforced disappearance

that” It is not accepted to invocate people under any circumstances, whether it was related to a case

of war or threatening of war or lack of political settlement to justify the enforced disappearance.”
