The personal freedom is a normal right and it is preserved cannot be touched except under the case
of flagrante, no one should get arrested, inspected, restricted or imprisoned except by a judgemental
order, which requires investigations. This is what the subject number 54 stated from the current
constitution. The thing that the current authorities are violating. Eight students completed their second
year of imprisonment yesterday 16th of August/2015. Which is considered as a violation of all the
international charts and the what the 54 subject of the Egyptian constitution stated in its fourth
paragraph that “Law should be organizing the temporary imprisonment sentences, its period and its
reasons.” The eight student’s information and names came as below
1- Abulrahman Alaa Elmelleigy the student at Faculty of commerce-Benha university.
2- Mo’az Alaa Elmelleigy, the student at athe private Optics institution at Sheraton.
3- Ahmad Heshmat Mar’ey Aref, the student at faculty of Shari’aa and Law- Alazhar University at
Asyuit.
4- Ahmad Mohammad Abdrabbo Abdullah,the student at faculty of(Religion origins)
5- Amer Ahmad Abdullah, the student at faculty of (Religion origins).
6-Mos’aad Abubakr Imam Ahmad, the student at faculty of Religion origins .
7-Mostafa AbdulNabyy Mohammad Fathallah, the student at faculty of Shari’aa and Law.
8-Ahmad Saber Abdelfadeel, the student at Alazhar University.
It was mentioned that the eight students were arbitrary detained in a way which violates law by the
security forces on Friday 16/8/2013 as they were tortured in ‘Boulaq Abu Elela’ police station after
their detention and that as their families said. It happened before they were moved into ‘Wadi-Natroon’
prison in the middle of November 2013 to be moved into ‘Tura’ prison where they are staying till now.
Investigations and imprisonment renewing continued and Postponing the student’s trials until they
completed their second year in prison yesterday.
It’s worthy to mention that what the students experienced of arbitrary detention and torture is
considered as violation of the law and oc the subject number 55 from the current Egyptian constitution
which states that” Every arrested, restricted or detained person should be treated in a way that
preserves his dignity and he shall not be tortured, frightened or physically and morally hurt.” We
Freedom Seekers Monitor condemns these continuous violations from the current system’s security
forces regarding the Egyptian college and institutions’ students. The fact that these practices are
declared violations of the entire laws. We call the current authorities to quickly release the detained
students as long as there are no real proofs of their accusations.
