- Giza Court Renewal judge issued on Wednesday 19-08-2015 a decision to renew imprisonment for “Ahmed Abdul Sattar” student at the Faculty of Engineering – Helwan University, for a period of forty-five days pending investigations.

Recalling that the student has been arrested arbitrarily against the law from his home in Ayat center in Giza at dawn on August 20, 2014, he was also forced to hide for several days and was reported to us that he was severely tortured to force him to confess to certain charges.

The student enforced disappearance came a violation of what came in the second paragraph of Article I of the International Convention for the Protection of Persons from Enforced Disappearance as “No person shall be invoked in exceptional circumstances whatsoever, whether a state of war or a threat of war, internal political instability, or in any case an exception the other, to justify enforced disappearances.
