- Security forces continue violations against “Fathi Azmi” student at the Faculty of Sharia and Law Al-azhar University Tvhna branch, according to reports from the student Family that talkha prison on Saturday 22/8/2015 deported the student to Meet Salsel prison, and then returned him after five hours in a deportations car due to the uncompleted necessary medical disclosure for his hand, and that he must be refereed to a hospital, and then the security forces for the second time deported the student to Meet Salsel prison on Sunday, 08/23/2015, despite the doctor’s report that the student need for surgery on his hand, and warned that any movement in his hand can lead to serious complications, and briefed his family on the medical report and the family later found out the the medical report was changed and confined that what the student had is an old fracture only in his hand.
It is worth mentioning that this is not the first violation against the student, since his arrest on the month of December 2014, the student endured several series of violations starting with began arrested arbitrarily without a permit or a judicial order while walking on one of the streets of the city of “talkha” in Mansoura.
The student was then presented before the public prosecutor on Saturday 12/1/2015 which charged him with: attempted murder on a lawyer called “Awad Salah,” where the prosecutor issued a decision to imprison the student pending investigations, where he was detained at the police station in Gamasa, On Sunday 10/3/2015 then he was referred to the criminal court in Case No. 16792 for the year 2014 Criminal Talkha and restricted number 193 for the year 2015 South Mansoura, and accused him of trying to kill a lawyer that he never met or seen in his entire life, where the public persecutor ignored these circumstances arose by referring him to the criminal court without proof based on it in condemning the student, as the public prosecutor had ignored what the student suffered of the crimes of torture during his duration of his disappearance, and the effects of torture were clear and visible on him , although when the student were presented before the public prosecutor for the 1st time he had mentioned that he was subjected to torture during his arrest and disappearance, but the public prosecutor did not prove the facts of torture or investigate it, despite that torture is a crime punished by the law, according to the text of Article (52) number of the current Egyptian constitution that: “Torture in all of its forms and manifestations, is a crime no statute of limitations. ”
Recalling that the student” Fathi Azmi” has been arrested arbitrarily against the law on 01-12-2014, where he was subjected to a series of violations from the moment of his arrest, most notably his torture following his deportation on Sunday evening 06.21.2015 to the headquarters of police station “Meet Salsil “, where the student was stripped naked from his cloth along with 14 other detainees and sprayed with water, and after that officers and trustees assaulted them by beating them withelectric cables and plastic hoses, resulting in serious injuries to detainees, including the student.
