It was decided on behalf of north Tanta court on Saturday 22-8-2015 to approve the release of “Mohamed El Sawy” second year student at the Faculty of Commerce – Tanta University, on charges of demonstrating without a permit and joining a banned group based against the law.

It should be noted that the security forces had arrested the student from his home on Saturday, 07/03/2015, and then forced to hide him from the date of his arrest until he was presented to Tanta camp court in the Courts Complex on Thursday, 12/03/2015.

He was reportedly subjected to severe torture to force him to confess to crimes he did not commit, and the student enforced disappearances came contrary to the provisions of Article I of the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance, which states that “No one shall be subjected to enforced disappearance “.
