- Forty-seven -years was the total number of sentences against eight students and a university professor in Mansoura, issued by a military court in Mansoura on Thursday, third of September 2015, where the details of sentences against them came as follows:
* Prison for seven years for each of:
1. “Abdel-Rahman Abdel-Azim Chehayeb” student at the Faculty of Nursing – Mansoura University.
2. “Yahya Massad Aqal” student at the Faculty of Commerce – Mansoura University.
3. “Ibrahim Ahmed Elkateb” student at the Faculty of Engineering – Mansoura University.
4. “Mohamed Saad Seriyah ” Assistant Professor, Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Medicine – Mansoura University.
* A prison term of five years for each of:
1. “Mustafa al-Rifai Abdel Wahab,” fourth year student at the Faculty of Commerce – Mansoura University.
2. “Khaled Helmi” first year student at the Faculty of Arts – Mansoura University.
3. “Omar Ashraf” second year student at the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences – Mansoura University.
* Imprisonment for 3 years for “Abdullah Mamdouh Tantawi” second year student at the Faculty of Law – Mansoura University.
* Confinement for two years for “Heba Allah Ibrahim Eshta ” student at the Faculty of Commerce, Department of English – Mansoura University.
Stating that the the students “Heba Eshta”,”Yahya Massad,” “Ibrahim Ahmed”, “Abdel-Rahman Abdel-Azim,” and “Mohammed Saad” was arrested after security forces stormed the campus of Manoura after an anti regime protest in the campus on Thursday, October 30 in 2014, where they were presented before the public prosecutor whom accused them of \several charges, notably: belonging to a banned group based against the law, commit acts of violence and riots within the university, and the destruction of interface administrative building for the security of the university.
Moreover, student “Mustafa al-Rifai,” was arrested from his home on Tuesday, 23/12/2014, and “Khaled Helmi” on Wednesday, 07/02/2014, and “Omar Ashraf” on Tuesday 06/16/2015 after the Commission of his final year exams , where they were accused of several charges, notably: Configuring a terrorist cell, possession of weapons, and the bombing of power adapter.
While “Abdullah Mamdouh Tantawi” was arrested from his home on Sunday, 07/12/2014, to be charged with several charges, notably: belonging to a banned group based against the law, the establishment of a terrorist cell, possessing anti publications of the current system, and throwing Molotov at police station in Dekerness.
