Minya Criminal Prosecution decided yesterday Saturday 02/20/2016 remanded in custody, “Ahmad Farid,” fourth-year student at the Faculty of Arts Minya University, for a period of 15 days on remand pending investigations.
The security forces have arbitrarily arrested student on Wednesday 20/1/2016 in front of his college after leaving the exam, and then he was taken to an unknown place, where he remained under enforced disappearance for 5 consecutive day, until his first appearance on Sunday, 01.24.2016 at the Minya Criminal Prosecution which was charged him with: demonstration without a permit, and belonging to a banned group based on otherwise law, and then the decision was to remand him in custody pending investigations.
It is noteworthy that what is done against the student is a violation of articles No. (54) and of the Egyptian Constitution, which reported the criminalizes of sentimental to the arrest of any person arbitrarily without a reasoned judicial order, and the first Article of the international Convention for the Protection of All persons from enforced disappearances, which reportedly stipulating that “no one shall be subjected to enforced disappearance under any circumstances”.
