The Court of Cessation ruled on Sunday 03/15/2015 to accept the appeal submitted by “Omar Jamal Shuwaikh” first year student at the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Al-Azhar University defense ,the sentence of imprisonment for a period of five years, on several charges including: demonstrating without a permit , raising Al-Qaida Flag ,organizing demonstrations against the current regime, and banditry, in Case No. 3185 in Nasr city civilian court.
The student were arrested arbitrarily contrary to law, on Monday, 03.24.2014 after a peaceful demonstration , where he was taken to the headquarters of “second Nasr City” section, and from the first moment of his arrest, he was introduced by series of violations, where he was beaten severely during his arrest, before being led to the second floor to “second Nasr City” section, where he endured various types of physical and psychological torture by beaten, electric shocks to all areas of the body, including sensitive areas , even sexual assault on a student by members of the Police Department at second Nasr City.
Violations did not stop at this point, Following his sentenced to imprisonment for five years on charges mentioned above, he was taken to Wadi Natrun prison, where he was also severely tortured he was forced to undress and to pass urine and stool in font of them , also the student was detained in solitary confinement, not to mention the bad conditions of detention.
