Central qld jobless rate falls to 8th low in a year

Joblessness in Queensland fell from 8.5 per cent last month to 8.3 per cent today, following another six-month low recorded in August.

The rate fell to 8.1 per cent in September and 8.1 per cent in October, compared to the same periods in 2015.

The Queensland jobless rate has fallen for three consecutive months from around 7.8 per cent in May 2016 to 7.8 per cent in October 2017.

In a week with more headlines than headlines there is also one big one that has come from the Senate in Canberra.

Senator Brandis says his party will not seek to increase the salary cap on those making up to $102,000 per annum.

“Senator Brandis would not like to see the Senate be in the position that we are in of having to set an allowance,” he said.

He says 바카라he would rather give a $10,000 annual award to members for services to the community.
