For almost 2 years now, the longest recorded period of enforced disappearance, Amr Ibraheem Abdul Moneem, the student in Taiba academy for engineering who was arrested by security forces after the massacre of the presidential guards on 8/7/2013 didn’t show up yet.

The student’s father received news that he is in Wadi El Natorun prison then he was moved to Al Aazouly prison without any legal procedures or trials. Also, his father confirmed that they had gone through all the legal procedures to know where he is, though security forces still deny where the student is till now. Disappearing the student violate the first article of the international agreement for protecting individuals from enforced disappearance that stated” it is not allowed to get an excuse from any exceptional case such as war, war threat, internal political instability or any other case of instability to justify the enforced disappearance”.
Freedom seekers observatory condemns such violations against Egyptian students run by security forces under the current regime. We demand current authorities to uncover where the student is and we declare that they bear the responsibility of the student’s safety and security.
