- Ruled on behalf of “Isna” southern province of Luxor court on Sunday, 08.16.2015 to remain in custody “Yahya Hammad” the student at the Faculty of Sharia and Law – Al-Azhar University, for a period of 15 days pending investigations, on the background of the charges against him of organizing rallies, possession of explosives, and belonging to a terrorist group.

The security forces had kidnapped the student from his home on Monday, 07.27.2015, then forced hide him for 5 days amid of news about torture to pressure him to admit to crimes he did not commit, before being presented to the prosecution, which remanded him in custody pending investigations, This is contrary to the provisions of the international laws and human rights conventions, particularly as stipulated in Article I of the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearances, “it may not be invoked in exceptional circumstances whatsoever, whether a state of war or a threat of war, or a lack of stability to force hide a person.
