“Israa Khaled Mohammed Said,” the 21-year-old student at the Faculty of Engineering at the City of Culture and Science, was arrested from her home at dawn on Tuesday, 20/01/2015, as her father was arrested and her brother before being escorted to the Directorate of Beni Suef security center , then she was presented before the prosecutor that decided to jail her after being accused of several charges, including (the acquisition of RPG – managing pages on Facebook to incite chaos against the army and the police and army service officers and their wives -burning an officer farm at Wasta Center – and burning electrical transformers).
she was deported to Minya prison on February 21, to becoming the first political detainee who was carried to the prison, and there serious violations occurred to Esraa at Beni Suef prison that made her enter a hunger strike because of ill-treatment in prison and the continuing violations against her , before she was placed with criminals in a cell and endured deliberate violation of the prison administration that allowed criminals to use the bathroom at any time and prevented israa from using it, and using it only a few minutes in the morning and evening.
“Israa Khaled,” which sits in solitary confinement since and in the cell that the light go out after the eighth in the evening to stay in a total darkness in an area which does not exceed two meters, it is recalled that the father of Isra died in prison as a result of medical negligence that prevent him from receiving treatment after being detained for more than a year, as Isra was prevented from attending the funeral of her father, or seeing him during his illness, did not know her father has died even she was surprised by an officer saying to her while laughing during one of her displays sessions ” go say hi to your friends they are coming to show their condolence ” As a result Isra collapsed and fainted.
Israa Was deported to Qanater prison after being detained for four months to perform the exams before being returned to Minya prison to complete her lock up and then transferred back to Beni Suef prison to be presented to prosecutors and then had a 15 days renewal without taking into account her exposure to a large number of violations and deportations in one week to be prevented two months of prosecution sessions before she was displayed in a court complex Beni Suef on Oct. 12, to eliminate the criminal court to postpone the hearing on Sunday 01/03/2016 to complete a year in prison without a fair trial, with the abuse continued against her till she wrote in one of her letters : “this cell door will kill me, i keep crying infront of it till i sleep at night.”
The student after she was arrested endured several and numerous violations ranging from ill-treatment, detention with criminal prisoners, and even detention in special conditions against the law of lockups which do not apply to political prisoners , which prompted the student to engage in a hunger strike lasted about ten days, in protest at the conditions of detention and ill-treatment, even migrated from the headquarters of the police department of Beni Suef, to Minia public prison.
