Ruled on behalf of Abdeen court on Wednesday 25/11/2015 to renew imprisonment for “Mahmoud Abdul Alim” first year student at the Faculty of Engineering – Mechanical Department – Helwan University, for a period of 45 days pending investigation, on the charge of  photographing without a permit.

Student was arrested on the 2nd of July and he was taken to Kasr EL Nil police station. Also, the student was released on the 5th JAn 2015 after he was arrested for 5 months accused of owning a camera.

It is noteworthy that the security forces had arrested the student arbitrarily against the law without permission or a court order reasoned, and that on Thursday, 02/07/2015, and then was taken to the “Palace of the Nile” police station,  then he was transferred later to prison Tora where he is currently in detention, and is worth mentioning that this is not the first time of the student’s arrest, where he was arrested and released on the fifth of January, after the arrest of as long as fifteen days on charges of possession of a camera.

Arresting the student is implementing the harsh methodology, security forces follow with Egyptian students in a way violate the Egyptian constitution article 54 that states that ” personal freedom is a granted right and it is not allowed to arrest any one unless caught in an illegal action.
