Freedom of thought and speech is guaranteed for everyone, and everyone has the right to express his opinion through speech, writing, photography, or any different form of expression and publishing.

This is the statement of the 65 item of the Liberties and rights section i the Egyptian constitution made by the committee that the former president Adly Mansour had nominated and that has been voted for by most voters who took part in the poll in last January; So, all country institutions, specially security one, should respect the items of that constitution.

Though the constitution guaranteed the freedom of taking photos, security forces didn’t stick to that and arrested many students with the charge of having a camera like the case with the student Mohammad Maamoun Abu Shousha, the student in the first year, faculty of arts and Masr 25 news channel reporter. He was arrested on the 10/6/2014 and he was accused of owning a camera and spying for Al Jazeera network and Rassd netwrk.

You can follow more details about the student on  http://freedomseekers.org/News-866

So, we repeat our demands to the Egyptian authorities to respect the items of the current constitution and working on putting laws that help applying its items and stopping any violations against it as well as we condemn continuing imprisoning students with such cases till this moment.
