- The criminal court ruled last Sunday 16/5/2015 to postpone the trial of “Suhaib Mohammed Nasreddin Ghazlani” second year student section Telecom Division at Faculty of Engineering – Helwan University, in the case known in media as “Kerdasa events”,to the fifth of September session, after the Criminal Chamber of the Court of Cassation ruled on 02/02/2015 to accept the appeal on the death sentence issued by the Criminal Court and to re-trial the student again.

The student was arrested arbitrarily against the law of an ambush desert road, on 14.10.2013 without giving reasons , to be accused along with his father of killing Major General Nabil Faraj Bkrdash, and possession of explosives,and to be referred to the Grand Mufti On Wednesday, 06/18/2014, to issue a death sentence by hanging on 08/06/2014.

It is worth mentioning that the student subjected to various kinds of physical and psychological torture, and was forced under torture and death threats to him and his family to confess to charges that he did not commit, and that during his detention prison area in October, the student’s family issued a statement describing what their son endured from torture, and its effects remained on his body after 6 months.

For which the student started a hunger strike for not allowing him visits for full five months as a result of ill-treatment and prevent him from seeing his mother, where they are now detained at the headquarters of Scorpion high-security prison.
