Rape victim: ‘I was in shock’

Tributes have been paid to the victim, who was taken into custody after he tried to flee his attack on the women in a restaurant in Bradford.

The 19-year-old victim’s mother told the BBC: “He was a very quiet, quiet lad and she has worked so hard. We are all so sorry.”

Evelyn Davies was another man from North Shields arrested under the Terrorism Act, which allows for “an unreasonable search and seizure”.

He is due to appear at Bradford Magistrates Court on 3 April.
