Abdeen prosecution decided yessterday to renew the imprisonment for Mahmoud Abdul Aleem, the student in the first year, faculty of engineering, Mechanics department, Helwan University as he is accused of taking photos without a permission.
Student was arrested on the second of July then he was taken to Kasr El Neel police office, then to Basateen police office where he is now. The student was released on the 5th of January after 15 days in custody for owning a camera.
The student’s detention comes in accordance with the harsh strategy followed by Egyptian security forces against students, as well as it is violating the 54th article of the current Egyptian constitution that guarantees personal freedom and doesn’t allow arresting any one or imprisoning him without being caught acting a criminal action.
